A day at Nagarjuna Sagar

Back in 2002, I spent a great deal of time at Nayagara falls in US and did so many things there. I felt blessed to witness such a place in nature and say proudly of it.

Off late, last Sunday I went to Nagarjuna Sagar which is just 3 hours away from Hyderabad, along with a group of 10 friends - only to realize that I have never discovered the beauty around, for 31 years now.

All of us thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the trip - right from the country-side breakfast in the outskirts of Hyderabad to the amazing scenery alongside the road to different regions and views at the waters of Earth Dam Nagarjuna Sagar to the teppa boat ride with its risky spinning style drive... and more.

From entertainment perspective, it might sound to go off on a tangent but one heartfelt note/moment was to believe the fact that such a beauty of nature has recently created a calamity killing several people while making lakhs of people homeless. Questioning the cause, I scribbled and sung a 4 liner looking at the water and the mist on top of it, but it at this time is of no real use to anyone who were/are the victims.

Just in case if anyone wants to listen, there will be a raw playback shortly, and below are the words:

yi andamena pongindi
andindi anta munchindi
alaapinchaala? tana soundaryam aswadinchala?
anduke matrame ne bratikunnananukovala?
munchettina yi andamto na bandham yenduku peragala?

a somewhat closer translation in English would go like-

is this the beauty that raised above the bars?
it has swamped everything it can
should I sing an opera for it? why should I just admire/praise her beauty?
should I convince myself that I am alive just to do that useless act?
looking at the debris it created in nature/people, why should my intimacy grow for it?

Again, as I write this post my throat is completely in bad condition and once it is back I will sing it in raw format and place it here.

The trip ended in a great note of contentment (including cold, cough, fever, soar throat, body pains among others)!

The place does call me back and I am not sure when, and with whom. Well, I might end up going alone as well to give a gift to the inner side of me but we will see-

Below are some orderless and title-less pictures taken from a cell phone camera

implementation from recipronspiration

Not sure if such a word (recipronspiration) exists but hey dictionary is after all a catalog of what a huge population has coined, and I feel natural to be among them. Well, websters might not add this word into their dictionary but then there is always this YAD - Yet Another Dictionary where I want to give a decent place for recipronspiration. And you know what? I just right clicked the word and selected 'add to dictionary' within the spellchecker program of this text area.

To the meaning of recipronspiration - reciprocation + inspiration. Though I have been blogging on the professional side for a while, one of my best friend Raju Bhupati inspired me to blog even on the greener side (personal side) of life, beyond technology. He is a passionate blogger himself (such as this) and it was me who inspired him an year ago to blog, given his deep perspectives on diversified aspects of life (social, political, entertainment industry, fashion, spiritual and more).

After an year, he directly and indirectly reciprocated and inspired me to get onto using blogging etc even on the general side of life and hence the inception of this blog - http://theconcertoflife.blogspot.com/. I originally named this blog as concert-of-life but after Raju hinted that hyphens may be a pain to type, I renamed it to theconcertoflie.

I consider life itself as a concert - it starts - it ends - it goes high and low in volume - it switches tempos - it at times has boring stuff - it tickles the heart every once in a while - it throws you into trance every now and then - it purifies your soul and body sometimes and so on...

I want to scribble this blog as my public diary - the dictionary defines a diary as " a record of events, transactions, or observations kept daily or at frequent intervals : journal; especially : a daily record of personal activities, reflections, or feelings" - and I will try to make relevance to the extent possible.

After all, if not for anything else, I need a place to look back at my own journey at a later date and this blog will remain a potential source.

Better late than never,
Ashwin.
